Mac is officially eight months old this week and he continues to be such a joy. Whenever we get stressed out or worried, we just look at our beautiful, happy little boy and everything suddenly seems better. Weighing in this week at 21.5lbs., he's definitely a bruiser, but he's healthy!

This weekend was jam-packed with activities and "firsts" for Mac. Friday I took Mac on his first train ride up to Lake Geneva. Two hours on a train with a squirmy baby is tough, not going to lie. But all in all Mac did a great job - it's tough when you want to crawl all the time! My sister, Laura, was in town this weekend from SF, so we were able to spend lots of time hanging out with her and just catching up on things.

Saturday we took Mac down to the water for his first official swim. At first he was a little unhappy but he definitely warmed up to the idea after a few minutes splashing around. Then we tooled around for a bit on the boat before coming back for the annual Indian Hills neighborhood picnic. We had fun hanging out with neighbors and friends and eating yummy summer food.

Today we headed back to the city to catch the Pride parade, but more about that later! In the meantime, enjoy some pictures of our not so little boy!
