Mac and his bruises (and some serious drool!)

I'm happy to report that this weekend was, once again, relatively low-key and relaxing. The only real drama came in the form of Mac trying to stand ALL THE TIME and falling down and hitting his head ALL THE TIME. My little boy is so black and blue it's horrible! He has no interest in playing with toys, reading stories, listening to music, etc. etc. All he wants to do is stand up and with it comes a lot of falling down. I'm trying desperately to baby proof everything in site. In the meantime...anyone know a place that sells baby helmets?!?

Saturday we had fun entertaining our good friends Karen and Mike with darling Frances and Casey and Matt with adorable Miles. Mac was so happy to have his buddies around, but honestly I think he was a little sad that he can't keep up with them yet (ie - they're both 8 months older and thus walking.) I tried to capture a picture of all the kids playing (impossible!) but I did manage to get one shot of all of them rallied around Elmo. Nothing unites young children like an Elmo Live doll!

Today we tried to go to the Sheffield Garden Walk but it looked like rain. Instead, we did some shopping and bought Mac a new toothbrush and some bath toys at Giggle, one of our all-time favorite stores for kids. Dan had school all day so it was just Mac and Mom. I think Mac only acquired two new bruises today, so I guess that was a success? Poor guy!
