What we did over Christmas vacation

Oh my goodness! I feel like the past few weeks have been an absolute whirlwind! We started out our vacation with a visit from both my sisters and a pre-Christmas Eve celebration at our house. It was so nice to be able to catch up and hear about my sister Kat's amazing travels through Asia and India and my sister Laura's latest San Francisco escapades.

On Christmas Eve we headed down to Florida to celebrate the holidays with Dan's family. As usual, we spent our days lounging around, hitting up our favorite restaurants and heading over to the beach every night to watch sunset. The weather was chilly (thus the sweaters!) but we hardly noticed with all the drinking, laughing and catching up we were doing.

Christmas was fun as it was the first time Mac sort of understood what was happening and it was Paige's first Christmas period! As always, the kids were spoiled rotten by Sue Sue and Bubba and Santa, not to mention Aunt Tracey, her boyfriend, Justin, and the avalanche of presents still sitting under our tree from my parents and sisters. Dan and I found ourselves spending a lot of time just counting our blessings and reminding each other how absolutely blessed we are to have such a wonderful family and life.

We made it home last night just in time to ring in the new year with expensive champagne and cheap pizza. I honestly couldn't ask for a better end to 2010 and am looking forward to all the excitement to come in 2011!
