Mini Picasso

Last week, we checked out a copy of Olivia from the library. For those of you who aren't familiar, Olivia is the story of a delightful little piglet who is a bit mischievous. In one part of the book, she decides to imitate the Jackson Pollack she saw at the museum by recreating it on her bedroom wall.
When we got home from the lake last night, Mac went into our kitchen drawer, found a black Sharpie and did his own rendition of a Picasso on his bedroom wall.
As soon as I walked into the room he dropped the marker and started sobbing because he knew he was in trouble. I was prepared to have a total freak out when Mac looked at me and said through his sobs, "Mama! I drew you a face! Eyes and nose...and a hat!" I stopped and looked at the picture and...well, I saw that he WAS drawing me a face. I got down and gave Mac a hug and told his that I thought his artwork - although I would have preferred it be on paper - was beautiful. After all, nothing a quick coat of paint cant' fix, right?
