Sunday Sightseeing: Mount Soledad

As we continue to explore our new surroundings, we're taking up an activity called Sunday Sightseeing. The goal is to see one new thing every weekend for the rest of the year. Today we went to visit Mount Soledad on a recommendation from a friend.
Located in La Jolla, this veterans memorial has absolutely breathtaking views of the city and the coast. It's also incredibly humbling to read some of the inscriptions from fallen war heroes on the wall surrounding the giant cross. Several celebrities, including Ronald Regan, Gerald Ford and Harry Truman have plaques. The view alone was worth the drive - such a gorgeous (and humbling) place!
