The ski report

Well, I'm just returning from my weekend ski trip to Keystone with my Dad and am happy to report no broken bones! It's sort of amazing how your body just remembers how to do certain things. After a few runs, it felt like I hadn't missed a day even though I haven't skied in nearly four years!

My Dad and I stayed at one of our favorite places, the Ski Tip Lodge. It's the oldest operating ski lodge in North America and was built by the original founders of Keystone. It's very rustic and quite charming. Best of all, they have a four star restaurant on site that serves some amazing local cuisine. If you're ever in the area, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Love all the little details - the door handles are all skis!

It was nice to get away for a few days, but I was happy to get home to the kids and Dan. Dad - thank you for another wonderful ski weekend. Miss you already!
