Legoland

When Sue Sue was here a few weeks ago, we made our first pilgrimage to Legoland up in Carlsbad. Dan and I were both curious about this place as we'd heard it was amazing but didn't really know what to expect. As it turns out, this place is sort of like Disney Land but only made out of Legos. There are tons of rides and attractions for kids as young as Mac and Paige but also lots of things for them to do once they're a bit older.
Giving kisses to someone my size
Mac and Daddy on the magic carpet ride
God willing, this is the closest I'll ever be to a shark!
The coolest part is seeing all of the amazing things constructed entirely of Legos. There are replicas of all the major U.S. cities, not to mention countless sculptures of animals, buildings, etc. They also tell you how many hours it takes to build all this stuff which is incredible (and, I imagine, incredibly tedious!)
Building towers on the "earthquake tray" to see if they'll survive!
Who knew Sue Sue was so good with blocks?!?
I think one of our favorite places was the "build it yourself" area where the kids could construct things out of the zillions and zillions of Legos they had available. I'm pretty sure season passes to this place are now on our radar!
