I'm always looking for fun new things to do with the kids so today we went on a nature hike. I took two empty egg crates and turned them into "nature boxes." The kids had to walk around and collect twelve different items to go in each of the different holes. I was pretty excited about our adventure but truthfully wasn't sure if M&P would think this was totally lame.
On the hunt
Luckily they were interested and this actually held their attention for about 45 minutes! Not only was this a completely free activity but it's something we can do again and again. Hooray for small (and educational to boot) wins!
