I am very happy to report that today I finished my first half marathon with my sister-in-law, Tracey. She actually did the full and finished with an amazing time without even training! I have never, ever been a runner but this year decided I wanted to try and push myself to do something I didn't believe was possible.
The San Diego Rock 'n' Roll marathon is huge...30,000 participants this year and the race was completely sold out. Being surrounded by that many people working toward a common goal is just awe-inspiring. I know millions of people have run races before but today felt like a small victory for Team Anne. Next up? Definitely not a full...I don't want to commit the time. Maybe another half? We'll have to wait and see! For now I'm going to unwind with a beer and giant plate of carbs! Yum!
