I remember the first time Dan and I came to San Diego to visit. It was July and the temperature in the evening dropped to a "chilly" 65 degrees. People were walking around in fleeces and we were openly mocking them. "Ha! That's ridiculous! We will NEVER be those people! We are thick skinned Midwestern folk! We wear SHORTS as soon as the thermometer registers 40!"
Fast forward two years...there's a cold snap hitting Southern California right now and we are absolutely dying. It was 41 degrees this morning when I left the gym. 41 degrees! That's FREEZING for us! I'm worried all my plants are going to die! My girlfriend had FROST on her windshield last night! Aghhhhhh!!!!
Yes, we know we're ridiculous. We know others now mock our inability to handle anything less than 70 degrees. And now thanks to Jimmy Kimmel, everyone is laughing.
