Mac is growing up and for some reason it always catches me off guard. He's asking all sorts of really interesting questions as of late, which is keeping me on my toes! For example, here was our conversation this morning -
[Listening to NPR, which we do every morning]
Mac: "UGH!" Are they talking about Russia again?!"
Me: "Yes, that's because there's a lot going on in Russia right now."
Mac: "Is Vladimir Putin still trying to take over Crimea?"
Me: "Well, he's basically already done that. Now he's fighting with Ukraine."
Mac: "Is he dropping bombs on them?"
Me: "No, but he's sending in troops to scare them."
Mac: "Do they have guns? With bullets?"
Me: "No...he's just trying to scare them but no bullets."
Mac: "Is Barack Obama going to send people to fight him?"
Me: "No...he's just trying to talk to Vladimir Putin to get him to be nice."
Oh my goodness! I know my kids are in the car "listening" to the radio but I never really thought they were listening! I'd better study up so I can answer all these questions!
