Fourth of July fun

Oh my...so much to write about our weekend that I think I might have to break this into two posts!

We headed up to Lake Geneva on Friday for the annual 4th of July party at my parents' house. The day started out with some much deserved Bloody Mary's at Chuck's, our all-time favorite bar. Now for those of you who have never been, Chuck's is sort of a right 0f passage for the Neumeister family. It was one of the very first places my parents ever brought me...saddled me right up to the bar in my bouncy chair. So it felt very fitting that Baby Summa got to check out the bar first-hand this weekend. He even got to enjoy a Virgin Bloody Mary!

Later that afternoon the entire family came over to partake in some fireworks and festivities. Everyone had fun catching up, eating way too much good food and playing some fairly heated games of bean bag toss. Check out some pictures of the weekend fun in the album attached.

We also were gathered to celebrate my Mom's birthday. Now I must clarify something for the record...contrary to the cake we ordered from the bakery (it must have been wrong) and my calculations as to when Mom was born (we all know my math skills are weak at best), as it turns out Mom is only turning 30 this year, not 60. I know, a horrible error and I must clear that up so there is no confusion moving forward. So if any of you happen to see my Mom please tell her that 30 looks great on her and you all suspected something was off after seeing my last post anyways.

Saturday morning all the girls headed over to the Grand Geneva spa for some well-deserved massage treatments. Afterwards we headed out to brunch at Scuttlebutt's in downtown LG. The rest of the day was spent playing on the water and lounging around enjoying the sunshine. Both my sisters had to return to their respective cities late in the evening so that was the low point of the weekend. But it was great fun having them in town and I know they'll be hurrying home again soon to see Baby Summa when he makes his grand debut!

Sunday and Monday brought more fun and adventure but that will need to wait until tomorrow.
