I know I promised to write a little more about the rest of our weekend adventure so here goes...
Sunday Dan and I decided to get a head start on a little road trip we had to make to Minneapolis. Dan is going to see a specialist there for some back pain so we had a long drive in front of us. We knew we wanted to get at least half of the way there so we decided kind of randomly to stay in this little town called Black River Falls midway between LG and MN. As it turns out BRF is know for one thing only and that's a casino. So we pull up in front of our lovely Best Western accomodations (I'm still trying to understand the purpose of the orange moose) and decide to go try our luck at some Black Jack. Needless to say our gambling expedition was short lived as we managed to lose $100 in roughly 10 minutes. At least we know when to say when or Baby Summa would be out of a college fund pretty quickly!
The rest of the drive there on Monday was uneventful but the ride home proved to be somewhat of an adventure. About 2 hours into the trip the skies opened up and we were stuck in a torrential downpour. Not wanting to put Baby Summa in any danger we kept having to pull off to the side of the road to wait out the storm. We didn't end up getting into LG until after midnight but it certainly made for an interesting end to our long weekend!
