Christmas Day at St. Armand's Circle
Opening presents on Christmas Day
Christmas Eve at the beach
I've said it before and I'll say it again - snow is overrated. We celebrated Christmas this year down in Long Boat Key, FL with Sue Sue, Bubba and Auntie Tracey. We were lucky enough to beat the bad weather and made it down to Sarasota on Christmas Eve without any delays. We had been telling Mac for weeks about the sunshine and stepping off the plane we were greeted with bright blue skies. Off with the winter coats and on with the flip flops!Christmas Eve, we headed over to the beach for our traditional evening gathering to watch the sunset and indulge in a few cocktails. Mac had fun running around in the sand since this is the first time he's been to the beach and been able to walk.
Christmas Day, we opened presents and spent time hanging out together before heading down to St. Armand's Circle. Unfortunately, the weather took a chilly turn and for the next few days we were back to jeans and sweaters. But honestly who can complain - 40 degrees beats 4 degrees any day of the week! Now we're relaxing and getting ready to walk over to the beach before heading home tomorrow afternoon. Luckily the sun is back out so we're off to work on our sunburns!
