New adventures

Aside from all the craziness of moving in to our house, we've been trying to escape to explore our new city. We've spent a lot of time just driving around and discovering new spots, like the glider park near Torrey Pines.
We've also had a steady stream of visitors since we arrived, which we've loving. My dear sister, Laura, made it here last weekend and this week we're blessed with a visit from Sue Sue. We couldn't be happier to have people here!!!

Hanging out at Point Loma near the tide pools

The first weekend in town we managed to take in both the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. The zoo here is truly nothing short of amazing. When they say there's a giraffe exhibit, they mean there are families of giraffes roaming around on a man-made Serengeti. It's awesome.

I don't have any pictures from Sea World as it was Labor Day weekend and crazy-busy. We made it through half of a dolphin show and decided to call it a day.

Even better than the zoo was the San Diego Safari Park. It's this incredible man-made reserve that's meant to recreate the jungles of South Africa and Asia here in sunny California. We were able to ride around on a tram that seriously make you feel like you're on your own personal safari expedition.

Cool guy in his shades - such a big boy!!!

All in all, we're really enjoying exploring!
