An egg-cellent Easter

Last year Dan was gone for Easter so this year it was extra sweet to have him home for all the fun. We did all the usual - egg hunts, church, candy and chocolate bunny overload - and also hosted our very first Easter dinner. We invited our friends, the Balmenti's and the Utech's, and had fun sitting outside and enjoying an absolutely beautiful afternoon.
Dying eggs - this is the first year I wasn't stressed that something would be completely ruined by someone spilling dye all over the place.
The (second) Easter egg hunt (and check out that morning 'do!)
Peeps and donuts - it's what's for breakfast (judge, judge harshly)
The highlight of our weekend happened Easter morning - pre-dawn, to be specific. Paige came into our room at 6am holding a plastic egg. I asked her where she got the egg and she looked at me sheepishly and said, "On the stairs." Hmmmm...Mac was sleeping in a bit so we took Paige downstairs to sit and wait for him to wake up. That's when we noticed the Easter baskets were overflowing with plastic eggs. Paige had woken up in the middle of the night, gone downstairs and done the ENTIRE Easter egg hunt on her own. Thank goodness she didn't eat all the candy! Can you imagine!?! So Dan diligently went around and re-hid all the eggs so Mac wouldn't have a nuclear meltdown. Oh Paige, you crack me up, little one.
