A few weeks ago, when Sue Sue was in town,we took a day trip out to Fallbrook to visit the fire station. One of our friends is the fire captain and offered to give a bunch of us a behind-the-scenes tour of the station, including the fire trucks and ambulance.
It was so cute to watch all the kids listening so intently as Rob explained how everything works. Paige was terrified of the stretcher in the back of the ambulance. She kept saying, "Don't put me in the hospital bed, Mom!" I'm wondering if she was having flashbacks to her time at Rady's Children's Hospital. Mac was listening closely, answering questions and taking it all in. The best part was at the end when the kids got to hold the fire hose! They loved it!
