King Tut

This year, instead of getting passes to all our usual spots, we decided to branch out and try something different. The San Diego Natural History Museum ("The NAT") is down in Balboa Park next to the zoo and has a great exhibit right now on King Tut. Since the kids loved the Ancient Egyptian exhibit last summer at The Field Museum, I thought I'd take them to this as well. The exhibit didn't disappoint and the rest of the museum is really fun. There are dinosaurs, fossils, an IMAX...all the typical things kids love to do.
Writing our names in hieroglyphics to make a cartouche
Checking out the IMAX (shark movie - Mom was not a fan!)
 Coloring headbands and scarabs

The NAT just opened a Coast to Cactus exhibit about wildlife in Southern California that I think we're going to check out as well. We love exploring our city and finding fun new things to do!
